3 Ways to Enjoy the Arch this Spring and Summer

Spring has technically sprung, but with chilly temps still on the horizon some days feel more like winter in St. Louis. While you can’t pack up your coat just yet, you can start marking your calendar for warm-weather activities and events; sunshine will be here soon, and when it is you can celebrate the season with these Arch-front activities.

Soak up some sun at the Mississippi Greenway

Enjoy the warm weather with a ride, run or walk down the Mississippi Greenway. Located between River City Casino and Jefferson Barracks Park, this 1.8-mile paved trail features comfort amenities like benches and restrooms, as well as nearby activity opportunities including grilling, disc golf and archery. Need to catch your breath? Take a break and enjoy a view of the Mississippi River, then get back to your favorite warm-weather sport.

The 2018 Lunchtime Live series is kicking off soon! Step away from your desk and enjoy your lunch outside at this free event. Now located in the newly renovated Kiener Plaza, this annual event series is held on Fridays in May through September from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and includes live music, food trucks and networking opportunities. The first event will be held on May 4.

Beat the heat inside the new Museum at the Gateway Arch

Sunshine sounds great now, but eventually St. Louis will wish for a break from the heat. When that day comes, spend an afternoon indoors at the soon-to-reopen Museum at the Gateway Arch. After closing for renovations, the museum is set to reopen on July 3—just in time for the Fair St. Louis festivities to return to the Arch grounds.
