There’s no denying it: any meal is made better with the sight of a stunning skyline. With a view like ours in Downtown St. Louis, dining out isn’t just about the food, it’s about the experience too.
Whether you’re a local looking for a new “go-to” or a tourist stopping in town, you want your view to be as memorable as the food on your plate. As Downtown St. Louis continues to grow, so do its options for rooftop restaurants with sweeping city views. Whether you’re into small plates and specialty cocktails or beer and big bites, this list is sure to hook you up with a fun (and picture-worthy) dining experience.
Here are eight of our favorite rooftop restaurants:
1. The Last Rooftop (The Last Hotel)
Sink into a sunlit armchair while you sip a cocktail or snack on shareable plates from “The Last Kitchen.” Don’t forget to pack a swimsuit: The Last Rooftop features a wading pool so you can stay cool while you enjoy the views. The Last Rooftop is a 21+ spot, so make sure you bring your ID.
Three Sixty is known for its sweeping views, but the eclectic bar and food menus are what keep people coming back to this 400-foot-high dining and entertainment destination. The 6,000 square-foot space offers a bird’s eye view into Busch Stadium and features indoor/outdoor seating so visitors can enjoy the rooftop experience year-round.
3. Cinder House
Atop the 8th floor of the Four Seasons Hotel, award-winning chef Gerard Craft puts a South American twist on the tradition of wood-fired meat, veggies, and fish. Guests can dine indoors or venture onto the outdoor lounge to take in the stunning St. Louis skyline.
4. Form Skybar (Hotel Saint Louis)
Named in reference to iconic architect Louis Sullivan’s philosophy, “Form Ever Follows Function,” Form Skybar spans the top floor of Hotel Saint Louis. Whether you’re indulging in Mississippi Nachos, a specialty cocktail, or taking a dip in the rooftop pool, life’s a lot sweeter when you’re peering across the Downtown cityscape.
This all-inclusive experience takes Cardinals games to a whole new level. Cardinals Nation Rooftop features a full buffet, carving and dessert stations, two full bars, complimentary access to the Cardinals Hall of Fame, and more.
6. Vin De Set
After a trip to France in 2004, Paul and Wendy Hamilton decided to bring the cuisine of the Provence region to the Gateway City. Nestled on the edge of Downtown West, Vin de Set has earned a reputation as one of the region’s premiere rooftop restaurants. As if the views aren’t impressive enough, the chefs grow most of their ingredients in the restaurant’s very own hydroponic greenhouse.
